“Babylon” was shot at Lake Gaston in a single fifteen-hour day.
The award-winning music video features a song off of New Reveille’s CANNONBALL LP, written and produced by Myriad Director Daniel Cook (featured on banjo).
Weeks of planning went into the concept and logistics, yet the crew knew there would be variables beyond their control, like weather and/or people possibly getting arrested. So they “planned” to improvise a certain amount. Shooting the video in one day—with two crews running simultaneously on different parts of the lake—was kind of an insane idea.
Myriad knew this, but that was part of the challenge, and therefore part of the appeal.
